Monday Hoops

NBA

Now this is a sports where I belong, my friends..after getting beat down in the NFL its good to see the NBA here!

One unit:
Portland +5.5

I know they are on the tail end of a road trip but they are young kids and play well on the road.
Portland: 29-14 ATS away playing their fifth game in seven days

Two Unit:
Jersey +11

This team is playing very badly right now but what cures that is going on the road to take some pressure off. It helps that the Jazz are playing no defense at the moment.
New Jersey: 14-4 ATS away off an OverUtah: 1-11 ATS at home off a road loss by 10+ points

Three Unit:
Seattle/Memphis under 218

Seattle has been on a long road trip and tired legs means jump shots won’t fall especially late in the game. This goes under.
When MEMPHIS team Played as Home team as a Favorite - Before a non division game - with 1 day off - Coming off 1 game road stand the under is 5-11

NBA Friday

Orlando -3

Detroit played last night and is off an impressive defensive performance and that never works out well for the Pistons. Detroit is 10-25 ATS after allowing 80 points or less and they face a team ready to defeat the Pistons. It was the Pistons who treated the Magic so rudely in April, turning the first playoff appearance in four years into a funeral-like finish at Amway Arena, casting a dark shadow over the improvement they had showed.

Coupled with four regular season losses to the same Pistons, the playoffs left Howard to spend the summer rankled by the experience, having nightmares about Detroit."There's no way a team should beat us eight times in a season. The fact that they swept us, gave us something (to think about)," he said after practice Thursday. "It hurt. Bad. When we play Detroit, we're going to try and destroy them."

When the Magic arrive for a morning workout today, they will be greeted in the locker room by a big "8," on their bulletin board, a not so subtle reminder of how badly they have been dominated and how many consecutive games they have lost to the Pistons."I've been thinking about the Big 8 since last season after they beat us," Howard said. "It still hurts, and the fact is, I didn't perform as well as I thought I should have."The Magic are a different team this year and they have shown they work well together and ready to have a better than average season. The line shows that the lines guys are onto it making them a 3 point chalk over the Pistons tonight.

Here is another great super trend: When ANY NBA Team Played as Home team as a Favorite - Total is between 185 to 190 - After a conference game - Allowed 85 or less points AGAINST in their last game - Coming off 1 under that team is 83-30 and that team is the Orlando Magic.NBA DETROIT at ORLANDO

Play On - Home teams where the line is +3 to -3 (ORLANDO) after a win by 10 points or more against opponent after a combined score of 175 points or less34-11 over the last 5 seasons. ( 75.6% 21.9 units ) NBA DETROIT at ORLANDO

Play On - All teams with a money line of +135 to -155 (ORLANDO) after a blowout win by 15 points or more against opponent after a combined score of 175 points or less47-22 over the last 5 seasons. ( 68.1% 24.9 units )

Rockets Vs. Jazz

NBA Thursday Tonight

Rockets +4

This is the game of the night to me and really stands out as a strong play to me. The Rockets are the superior team in this match up and it’s not even close. Don’t let the Jazz performance against the Warriors shock you and drive you on this wager. It’s not even close here if you ask me. Rockets win on the floor.

When the Rockets are a 3.5-6 point pup on the road they are 10-5 ATS

When HOUSTON team Played as Road team as a Underdog - After a non division game - Last 2 years they are 41-26-1 ATS

When HOUSTON team Played as Road team as a Underdog - playing on Thursday - with 1 day off they are 19-9 ATS

When UTAH team played as a -3.5 to -6.0 home Favorite Coming off a win Total is between 190 to 195 they are 4-10 ATS

The Rockets are looking forward to this game tonight!

When the Rockets' charter touched down at 3 a.m. Wednesday, they were back in Salt Lake City, where for them, euphoria has gone to die.
For all the Rockets' changes since last season's first-round playoff loss to the Utah Jazz, tonight's return to EnergySolutions Arena offers a chance to heal still-open wounds.
The Rockets cannot undo the playoff loss. Any success today will fall short of the failure last season. But they seek a chance not for redemption but closure.
"If we get a win here, it's nothing, but everything," center Yao Ming said. "Last year will never come back. But if we win here, it is, like I say, nothing, but everything."
